I would assume the standard layout of this high-rise unit had the bed shown backing up to the wall behind the toilet and bidet? It seems the solution of the wardrobe space where it is proposed meets your goals. Has the original (again, assuming) closet down in the left corner been converted to a dark office desk, and was there a doorway from the bath originally?

Hi @3onthetree! thanks for your comment. The bottom left was originally the entry to a couple of closets as you walk through to the bathroom. In this drawing she has basically turned it into a small walk in closet with no access to the bathroom. What the designer is proposing is to add another row of closets behind the headboard (creating a narrow hall way so to speak behind the bed) with a pocket door entry to the bathroom from the closet area.

I see no problem with the open closet, it is a common layout when presented with these design hard points. Usually people will complain about walking past cabinets, but you haven't brought that up. The bathroom door is more appropriate in the new closet location anyway, entering facing the vanity rather than walking past the toilet. Don't know if the old doorway is being filled completely with a double-sided cabinet, but hopefully it isn't a half-height or pass-thru for that little closet.
