The waterfall belongs in very few kitchens. I don't think yours is one!

Another ”no”. They belong in large kitchens with soaring ceilings. Also your fabricator charging $400 to do it seems low. A waterfall counter is a difficult fabrication requiring precise mitering, and precise scribing of the waterfall sides to the floor. Good fabricators charge a lot due to the expertise required. Lots of unhappy posters on this forum who got a waterfall counter that looks shoddy, and they’d have been better off doing a regular counter.

No to the waterfall, but a Shaker panel on the side is appropriate.

There is nothing I can see in your style that is very comtempporary so I would say no to a waterfall counter and IMO shaker cabinets are not contemporary either . I sur do hope that lighting is being removed ans replaced with some good pot lights all LED 4000K

I had a large piece of quartz left over from the double sink that was cut out. I had the edges beveled and polished and have it in the middle of my peninsula as a cutting board or a display for a large blown glass bowl. It looks great. You don't need a waterfall.

A waterfall would be facing your closet wall. A waterfall should be open to the room so it can be seen and appreciated. I think it would not be visible enough to warrant the cost! I’d vote no.

In my opinion, a “waterfall” needs to be seen to be most effective. Your waterfall would be minimally visible. Save your money.

I like the reasoning stated above. I think you made a wise decision. I have mainly seen them on islands that have a lot of walking space around them. Your kitchen will look amazing with it.
