Thank you for your help! It looks good.

RL relocation I know... my furniture isn't minimal and I really want to change the table and chairs. Those chairs are so comfortable. Are any of the minimal chairs comfortable? I am just tired of this whole style I have going. I appreciate your input.

For the ones over the sofas... should I keep the rim of it white? If I were going to use some black on the other light fixtures, should I maybe use a black rim?

Minimal or industrial

When you say "minimal" I think of ultra modern or mid-century modern. Your photos don't suggest those styles in your home. If you post a few pics of lighting that appeals to you, someone may be able to direct you to others. Lots of minimal pieces are quite sculptural and look best in soaring ceilings. It's a tough one. I suggest you take a look at Pottery Barn chandeliers to get a sense of pared down contemporary.

I would keep them white, they are in "odd" places so having them go away is better

Can you tell me why it is odd to have drop lights in these places? I Have 9-foot ceilings and I was trying to get light over the couches. I have recessed lights in the whole area and can just replace them with another one of those. Thanks for your help!

becuse they are over a sofa and not centered half over an island.
