Trying to decide basement flooring color with cherry stairs

Tan shaggy carpet is only about 8 years old but my husband really wants to replace it. It started with him wanting to take carpet off stairs but after getting quotes of $5,000+ for someone to redo, one day I just ripped it up myself. Inital plan was to buy the retreads but ultimately we pulled all the treads and risers and replaced everything. Our first big project like that and we are happy with it. Yeah, I'm sure a profressional can point out our mistakes but we saved a lot of money and had fun doing it. Now we want to replace the flooring for the basement family room area 1300 sq feet. Going back & forth between carpet and luxury vinyl and decided to go with LV. Now I'm at a loss of what color LV we go with. We matched the stairs to our first floor. Do we continue with that color? When I see pictures of stairs one color then the floor another it looks so odd to me. We do love the color of the stairs and our first floor so not like we will be disappointed if that's the best choice. But any better options? Pictures are the stairs, basement kitchen to the right and family room. Area to the left just lost it's title of "playroom" due to a major toy purge. Kids are getting older and now that area will be a game room.
