IMO what you have are 2 pretty useless lights since both only light the ceiling and only tiny bulbs too. I need to see your house there is no way to advise light fixtures without seeing the space

people have been using up-facing chandeliers forever, that's why they still make em' so dont be off-put by that, Same goes for a bell jar ( second style) tho they are not my first choice for task lighting, dining rooms are for eating.

We do need to see the space so we can understand what is going on.. or a floor plan and some inspo.

I like the pendant! And I agree with previous comments. Overall size and volume of space, size and location of windows, location of fixture, what other lighting will be in there, where will tv be…we have 9’ ceilings and did a ceiling fan with light and a very short downrod.
