We are consodering buying a house build in 1901 and there is no kitchen! the room we want to put the kitchen in has 3 windows in the wall that we MUST use for kitchen cabinets. Trust me… we tried everything… we have to use that wall!! All are 6 foot 9 inches tall. We do not want to eliminate them, but shorten them and let the natural lighting shine theough. One window is visible from the front porch the other two are on the side of the house bu the AC units and exterior ac power. The windows are OLD, single pane windows and not in great shape. Need Suggestions…. what do we do with the 3-4 feet of ‘window space’ we take out???
