How much space between where stools would be when in use? Cannot tell if large seats would fit? Who and when would be using these and counter. Stools with backs are more comfortable for lounging longer. Kids need backs for pulling themselves up. Color YES!

Sharon, Thank you for your input. There’s quite a bit of space, each seating area has 36 inches side to side. Plus over 6 feet from counter overhang to door wall.

As to who would use it, probably kids before school at breakfast for the most part.
