Pur the table on the wall facing the door, and some artwork behind the door. It looks like your space has good light, so you could put some trailing plants on the high ledges to emphasize the height of this nice entry

No, not weird. You can put some art farther down the wall (past the point where the ceiling becomes lower) if you want to balance the entry table. Do you have a ceiling light? A simple, modern chndelier could look spectacular here!

Very narrow table on wall opposite the door with a mirror above. In the wall space left when the door is opened put a small bench. It could be upholstered or something that coordinates with the narrow console table with mirror. Then behind the door put two pieces of art stacked to fill that space. The top most piece should not be higher than the door when it’s opened.

Leave the floor clear on the door wall, and just place some art there. I'd put a very narrow entry table directly across from the door with a framed mirror or art so you're looking at that when entering. The rest of that hallway should stay clear.

If you do something on the wall facing you when you walk in, no one will even look at that
