Does shadowline bulkhead lighting work with shaker cabinets

I have a bulkhead Im trying to incorporate into my kitchen. Would a shadowline ceiling above the cabinets that light up work with shaker cabinets? They will be white uppers, and dark blue lowers. Will this look too odd, as its usually a more modern style?

I like the idea of mixing it the vibe, not too traditional but not too modern.


Here's the look of the ceiling I'm thinking of without the potlights though:
