Bathroom Vanity Mirrors Remodel

Updating master bath. Everything will be brand new (cabinets, counter, lighting etc) One side will be a single vanity. We’re deleting the window over it to draw the eye up. Other side of the bathroom is a ”tri wall” that I wish I could alter, but unfortunately cannot. Therefore, we’ll get new cabinets, move sink to the left wall, have an upper cabinet in the center that sits on the counter. The problem is that every area that gets a mirror/lighting is a different size. Can anyone recommend mirror and lighting that could work. I love symmetry so I’m frustrated and confused on what to do. thank you so much for any input!!

There are other ways to draw the eye up without resorting to chopping up the space as you suggest.

Thank you! i wish I could do that in my bathroom, but we have vanities on different walls. I

t’s a terrible layout so we’re trying to make the best of it.

I agree that you really only need mirror over the sinks. Have you thought of taking down all the mirrored walls and finding 2 ‘freestanding’ mirrors, and using them as vanity mirrors? You could go tall, to bring eye up if you like, or round, oval, anything that appeals.

Oh and as felizlady mentioned, too, art work in the space where you are not adding the tower storage.

No tower storage you already do not have enogh counter BTW why not put a makeup space in your bedroom . Also if you want real help post a to scale plan because I do not understand why you need the angled set up at all.

Why are you changing out the cabinetry? I like your current style much more than the ones you plan to use with all the legs.

I think I would simply change the mirrors to change the room & add swing arm library lights over the mirrors.

@BeverlyFLADeziner I'm changing the cabinets for a few reasons. The most important is that the quality is very poor. They were originally stained wood and were painted. In addition, the height is lower on my side and I want a regular height with no knee space. We're getting white oak and will stain them a lighter color. Adding a freestanding tub and all new faux marble tile. I'm just trying to make it a little more luxurious. I do love the lights and mirror style you're suggesting. Does it matter if the mirrors aren't the same size as each other? Thanks so much for your reply!!

You're all so helpful! @Patricia Colwell Consulting I have all of the angles because that's how the house was when we purchased it. I wanted to delete the angle on that side of the bathroom, however behind that wall is the fire sprinkler or water shutoff valve that's in a wall in the garage in the location behind that middle mirror. I'm just trying to best the best of it. I appreciate your input!

Would it be a possibility to swap the vanity and the tub, if you’re going with a free standing tub?
Not sure of logistics of the room, but the you might be able to have 2 same sized vanities each with mirrors over, etc. And the curved wall might look intentional to cradle the free standing tub.

@lydcrafts I would’ve loved that, but we didn’t want to move plumbing. Also, the strange double window feature is quite large and lets in good natural light. it would’ve needed to be eliminated to put the vanities on the same wall. I definitely considered it.
