What grout color is the whit subway tile getting? Doesn’t mean you have to use the same.

The subway is getting bright white. We are trying to keep the rest of the kitchen pretty tame since the wall is so busy.

I say go with a translucent grout. They make it for mostly glass mosaics. But it would work with the busy pattern.?

Assuming that tile is a dark grey I would look at a darker grout to blend. Lighter one just looks off but may be what shows on my monitor. Translucent might be a good option as mentioned.

I think you want to match the background gray color.

Well, I think not having a busy wall is a lost cause with the tile you installed. I say embrace the busy! Use the caramel (110) or Pecan grout (112). That way the brown in it won’t look like it is out of place. That will make the accent color caramel look deliberate.

Maybe it’s just my eyes, but your grout sampling is making a larger space than it will be on your wall installation. It’s making the grout much more prominent than it will be. I think Beverly’s suggestion is the best. Match the background color for a look that doesn’t highlight the grout lines.

Agree with Beverly, also. Try to match the background color of the tiles. Lighter grouts will create an additional grid pattern, perhaps reducing your design options in other areas of the room. Classy.

Match the background color since IMO a too bust tile for a wall with shelves but done now so keep it from being any busier

And yes, the grout lines are way smaller than the sample lines so maybe that’s what’s throwing me off.

Once the grout on the second sample dried, it is way lighter.
