A smooth colored cement finish would be very interesting. It would give you texture and color.

Cement finish? Not even sure what that is. What does that mean, exactly?

There are actually a lime plasters with portland cement in it that have the look of cement when finished. It produces a very high quality contemporary sleek look.

I am going to send a picture of a sample. The plaster is actually very flat in finish and has no sheen. The flash from the camera produces the sheen.

Your brick grout is the best clue for the putty tone that will also work against the beautiful maple wood tone - a kind of warm gray. Natalie has that right.

To test colors, paint a posterboard with at least two coats, carry it around and set it next to the brick, next to the cabinets, next to the stone / flooring etc. and look at it in morning, afternoon, evening and artificial light.

Sherwin Williams has a paint color called Stamped Concrete that might save a few steps. Check out the chip card for it.
