Hi everyone

We’ve been doing some remodeling work in our house and done black mastic abatement before putting on the vinyl flooring. There were also some demo work with drywalls that had joint mud with asbestos. Now, we want to test the air for asbestos particles before moving in and my question is:

Can we send our AC HEPA filter for testing as opposed to having the air quality company to sample air? Would the results from the two be equivalent? The reason I am asking that is because testing HEPA filter is much cheaper than having the air quality testing company takes air samples and test it. However, I want to know if the HEPA filter does not show asbestos, does it translate to no asbestos with air samples?

The HEPA filter has been in the unit for 3 weeks.
