Be careful of fresh horse mature. Too much ammonia. Can burn the ground.

You should probably post this in the Texas Gardening forum. I doubt anyone outside your immediate area will be interested. Free horse manure is available pretty much anywhere there are horses :-))

Lucky you! I suggest growing a bean in it before spreading, just to check that no herbicides have passed through the horses digestive systems......
