Design Dilemma Basements

Feedback on basement layout

I have a smallish basement that seems to only have one optimal layout but maybe I'm missing something. I'd like to have one room for exercise/workshop that could later function as a bedroom and one tv/entertainment area. The interior walls are in place but the exterior needs to be demoed and framed as it was done improperly (drywall on concrete/no insulation). Would love to hear any ideas

Can the water shutoff be hidden in the wall with an access cover, or do you have the meter too? If too bulky, then maybe a future bedroom closet could go along that middle wall instead of down next to the furnace room. If so that may affect where you want the bedroom door or the notch by the furnace room. Other than that, looks good.

Good question. It's just the valve and I was planning on enclosing with an access panel. Thanks!
