Worth it. We install a lot auto covers. Keeps the pool clean, cuts back on chemical use and will retain some heat in cooler times.

I don't have a pool yet, but I do have experience with having chosen the manual version of something and regretted it every single day! If you use the pool regularly, having an electric cover will make it easier and less of a chore to use the pool.

Please understand the price point on the covers. It's not just the cover cost, but also the cost of modifying the pool to allow for it's installation.

We are gunite builders so the reel box is part of the pool structure during construction.

Our cover boxes finish flush with the pool patio and coping.

We have tie rebar and shoot gunite to create this box. That's where cost come into play.

A less expensive alternative, is to have the reel box mounted on the deck.
