Are you saying you are using the same color tile on the shower walls and the bathroom floor (not the shower floor) and you want to use different grout colors? If so, I'd say pick one and use it on both.

Yes that is what I was saying…another option is to use the charcoal grout also on the shower walls. I wish I would have taken a picture with the floor tile with Silverado. Also wish I could see a white tile with sterling grout in someone’s picture. The only ones I find are Silverado

try Mapei Warm Gray. I did warm gray with the white and charcoal on the black floor on mine

I'm sure the installer can switch to the Mapei brand (I used the FlexColor CQ version on mine)

what about Mist? Sterling could work. White is difficult to keep clean. go for a light gray

can you ask the builder if you buy the other grout, can they use it in that one bathroom?

Yes definitely no white on the floor! I was saying charcoal on both the shower floor AND shower wall. Leaving the floor as is.

I had seen that pic on Houzz but couldn’t find white with sterling…

I would not do a charcoal grout on the shower walls w/the white tile. too much of a contrast and if the tile install isn't EXACT and perfect, it's going to show any mistake.

Also, if you live in an area w/hard water, the dark grout will turn 'ashy' over time. In the corners on my shower floor it's happened. no amount of cleaning will turn them dark again. So, I wouldn't want that on my wall tiles too. just go w/the gray on the walls

So do you think use the mist in all the shower? My initial thought was I didn’t know how busy it would look since it would contrast with both…I could try to find a different floor tile but that still wouldn’t solve the problem 😫

Also would the mist be okay if I did leave the floor with sterling?

Here’s the same tile but in more gray. Also showing the slab of the quartz on the countertop..would obviously be a much smaller piece. The counter can work either warmer or cooler tones I think.

My poor attempt to place the counter/ floor/Silverado grout together. I think it works. So I could do Silverado on the shower wall? We do have pretty hard water so that’s also concerning for the shower pan grout…seems like grays are the only safe choice

No, I actually did some tile changes and in general picked darker grout (mid gray range). Still in construction though so no pics yet
