Are planning on a buffet where is the space located in relation to the other rooms , like is it open or a closed off more formal space . How many people do you want to be able to seat.We need a bit mor enfo and a to scale floor plan is always a bonus showing windows doorways where the doorways lead and all measurements clearly marked.

Very open space here’s the lay out

Probably not as big as you might think, since you have to leave room for people to walk in from the foyer and enough room to open those french doors. When you consider those you've just eaten into quite a bit of your 19 ft area.

I would try to find a table that is slightly narrow and has 2 leaves for expanding the length. Keep it compact most of the time, but you can expand when you need to seat more people.

Chair size is also important.

Is your patio covered? If it is, is it too late to have the doors open out?

Just looked at the math and a 60" round pedestal table (with 2 leaves) might be good to soften all the square lines. With compact chairs you can fit 8. I have large chairs around a 60" round table and have 6 chairs for daily use and can squeeze in a 7th if needed.

It’s not covered but I’m getting sliding doors so they won’t be in the way as much

How many do you need it to seat? How large is extended family, do you entertain, what size crowds? What is the minimum number for daily use and what is the max you would prefer. Let's start from there and see what size tables that would mean.

2 of my children still live with me along with me wife so that’s 4 daily, I have a big family so if all my grand children and Children were home it would be 14 in total.
