My basement is needing a makeover. No more toys everywhere so play area will become game room. We have pinball machine, arcade game, air hockey table ordered, adding foosball and dart board. Still moving stuff around and planning for dart board to go on this wall. Arcade game will be moved. I’m concerned about darts (plastic tipped) hitting wall so I’d like to do something to protect wall. I’ve seen cork and considered it. But was thinking of air stone. Basement has kitchen opposite side from game area that I already installed air stone so would do same to match. What I’m trying to decide is if I do entire wall that games are on? Would it be too much stone? Would it look better to do chair rail and only top 1/2 in stone? No other area of basement has chair rail. Would just accent wall with chair rail look odd? If I do something on the one wall do I have to do same on wall to the right of pinball machine?
