Pretty room! The off centered windows don’t bother me, will be curious to see what others suggest. What about introducing some color? It’s hard to see with your lighting in the photos. What color are the walls? Maybe bring in a mineral color- blush/pink or grayish blue in the pillows and throws.

Thank you, Tracey! The walls are BM Baby Fawn which is pretty much the same as BM Edgecomb Gray. It's a greige color.  I'll post a few more pictures tomorrow in the daytime with the natural light to give everyone a better idea. The colors looked washed out in the nighttime photos I posted.

You could hang drapes behind the bed. The whole wall. Either use a curtain rod and position the rod at the ceilng, or use a ceiling track.

I like those little windows and would ignore the ‘off centre’ nature of them. As someone else suggested, perhaps a little more colour, perhaps in the bedding, but not too bright.

For now, I would ignore the windows, add some texture with a throw and pillows, and a vertical piece of art in the larger space on the right. Long term, I would evaluate the benefits of those windows- if the add nothing to the room, I would cover over them on the inside at least. A full accent wall of wallpaper, reclaimed wood, or similar would really up the room’s style.

Can you move the bed to the TV wall and the TV to the window wall? It’s a beautiful color.

Thank you to everyone who has commented. I took this pic in the daytime, but it doesn't look much different. Liz the TV wall is not big enough. I think the idea of bedding with more color might be the ticket. I'll start searching for that. As suggested by a couple of you, I'll try to ignore the off centered windows.  I'm still not sure if I should add art above the bed or not. Will it draw more attention to the off centered windows?

freedomplace1, I'm just not a big fan of curtains on a wall, but thank you for the suggestion. That certainly could be a solution, if only I liked the look.

I think closing the louvers on the small windows would be helpful in deflecting attention from them.

decoenthusiaste, I haven't seen that it makes much difference if they're opened or closed, but I'll close them and snap/post another picture when I get home. I always appreciate the input you give to me and others. Would you also recommend different bedding? A rug? Any art above the bed? Thank you.

Thanks for your appreciation. I think I would replace the round mirror with art. The mirror feels cold and icy, while art could add warmth and interest, as well as color. Once you find the right art, you might consider a pair of rugs on either side of the bed that pick up on a color from the art. To see if you'd like that idea, try putting down a couple of bath mats to get a feel for what size might look right. Guests might like stepping onto a flokati too, it you like that look.

deco, here's a pic of the room with the shutters closed. I think you're right - they might be less noticable. I'm also including a pic with my hubby holding up an extra canvas print that I have and don't have any other place to use. I'm not sure this is the right art unless I change the bedding and the chair.  But is it the right size? I actually like the functionality of the mirror, but I see what you're saying about it being cold. If I replace the round mirror with art, I could add the standing mirror instead.

Tracey, I love those blues! And yes, this standing mirror is too small. How much larger would you suggest for the art? Would you suggest adding any art over the bed, also?

If you frame the art it can be enlarged enough. I like the colors in it. Looks like it works with the chair. I wouldn't do art near the bed; that area is more soothing with the shutters closed, so I'd leave it simple.

One way to minimize the off-center windows might be to remove the bedside table on the right side. Your chair appears to be on the more petite side, so could try placing it to the right of the bed, angled in the corner. It'll provide some balance to that wall, without looking off-centered. You could find a throw you like to bring in some more color and drape it across the back of the chair to minimize all the brown on that wall.

I totally agree with above. If you have room to move the bed and end table to the left. Centering bed under arched windows. Moving right end table and adding chair in right corner, you may have more balance. If Chair does not work, consider a chest there.

Then If all works out, I would paint the arch windows a color. As if they were meant to be there all along.

You could cover two of them with art. The other window could be a vent or anything. No one is going to care.

If the guests make an issue about that, provide a list of some local hotels - nice ones. And put the hotel info in a very nice envelope to present to them. Arrange for a limo to take them there, etc.
