does this rug match??

I bought this rug yesterday and I’m not sure if it goes. I will change the pillows to match with the rug

It’s hard to tell subtle colors on an iphone or monitor. On mine, picture #1 appears to BLEND with your furniture and walls, but in picture #2 the loveseat on the right seems to NOT blend with the rug. How it looks in real life, I can’t tell.

it works. it's a nice base for some interesting accents. I would put the furniture ON the rug.

I would get some jewel tone pillows.

Red, Blue Green, Purple... not matching grey tones.

While I generally like that rug, I'm not sure it's the right style for your room. The color seems to work as far as I can tell, but the rug seems busy and maybe not the right style for your furniture. Some of it seeming busy may be the way the photos are framed (the photos are way more rug-centric than how I would view the room if I were in it). The style strikes me as something that works well with Boho style, and your furniture with the nailheads reads more traditional. And lastly, I think the rug pattern competes with your pillows.

My conclusion: not terrible but I think you can do better.

I do recommend availing yourself of the online visualization tools that some of the rug seller have (Rugs USA and eSale rugs; I think some others have them to). You can upload a photo of your room and try on a bunch of different rugs to get a sense for what works.

I would bring in mainly solid colored pillows in this type of color mix - pillows with texture.

And I would bring in either a large ottoman in another color such as blue or red, or something like this pouf that has a lot of texture... maybe a couple of them.

I think your furniture is more traditional than the rug, but I think if you funk up the pillows like freedomplace suggested, you could make it work. I do like the rug though.

I have found this rug online. How is it? Will go with the traditional advice!

And do you think a 5x7 would look better or 8x10?

I like it better than the first rug. I think the style is definitely going in the right direction.

This may just be personal preference, but I don't love the most recent rug. Unfortunately, I can't really articulate why (maybe I find the strong black and white a bit too severe and would prefer a rug with less contrast within the pattern? Not sure), and ultimately you only need to please yourself. Do you like it? Did you try out other rugs that you liked?

I can't really judge the dimensions of your space, but would tend to lean larger, since you can always pull a larger rug under part or all of the sofa too adjust the visible coverage, but if a rug is too small there's not much you can do. But I'd recommend getting out a tape measure and some painter's masking tape and mark out the sizes if you are really unsure.

If you do order a rug off the internet, you might want to order a small (2x3) version of the rug first. Marketing photos can be misleading, and small rugs are much easier to return if you don't like them.
