but you already have an eat ate island, to me it would be in the way of foot traffic coming into the room as well. I say you need to really live in this space first.

I forgot to mention I have babies! so need a dining table so we can all eat together with a highchair at the table 😂

How many seats how much room do you have left after you add stools to the island ?The stools really require 5' behind them to move in and out so that does not leave much space .There is no reason why a high chair can't be pulled up the the island just the same as at the table. Post a to scale floor plan of the space include th island and the island seating space .
