Candlelight kitchen cabinets

My KD has suggested Candlelight cabinets. Anyone have them and what do you think of them? Considering a light stained wood cabinet. How is the quality? Thanks

is she recommending this company: Candlelight Cabinetry ??

I would ask her why she recommends them. And what the advantages are over the next option up and the next option down.

@kempek01 Yes, Candlelight Cabinetry cabinets. Said quality is good, also has many options in doors and colors since we are looking at stained wood. They also sell Crestwood but said they will be more price wise so were are starting with pricing out Candlelight and seeing what our options are for cabinet design. Just wondering if anyone has experience with these cabinets and if they like them.

They are lovely. I’ve had them in two homes in NYS where the company is founded.

@jojoco Can I ask how long you've had them and are they painted or stained? Thank you.

We have candlelight cabs in a small alcove (70” wide) installed at least 8yrs ago. They are a painted finish, one of their off whites. Like you, I had not heard of them before but I think they are well-made and would use them in our kitchen redo in future. I purchased from Ring’s End Supply which carries quality materials here in Fairfield County, CT. A contractor I trust and know would only use a reputable cabinet line is a fan. I wish they would expand their painted finish selection since I think they can be slow to adapt to color trends, but they do custom colors too. I’d like to see their brochure and online site refreshed with examples of more inviting displays such as clean lined lighter wood cabinets vs dark heavy & traditional. It’s interesting they don’t put a better foot forward in their marketing materials.

Mine were in my old homes. I had an antique white island with a espresso colored glaze and the others were wood, not painted, also with the glaze. (this was in 2004, when everyone was mixing and matching and doing glazes.) They held up beautifully. The self-closing drawers were dependable and gentle. I'm redoing my kitchen in my summer cottage in CT and specifically asked for Candlelight Cabinetry. Unfortunately my kitchen place didn't carry it.

I found a pic and my notes:

Cabinets are from Candlelight Cabinetry, burnished maple in the cantebury style. The island is antique pewter and has a mocha glaze.

Here is a terrible pic, but all that I have:

    So early oughts! LOL
