Hello,

We have a valley on our roof where two sides of the house come together. At the corner there is a splash guard as in photo #1. If we stay on top of the clutter that lands on the gutter guard (cover), it works just fine. When we are busy and cannot stay on top of gutter cleaning AND it rains heavily, the water can go around or over the splash guard and lands on the ground by the house. When it's really bad, the water can seep into the basement.

I am wondering if there is a way to fortify the splashguard and what the best way would be. Would adding straight splash guards (as in photo #2) on both sides of the bent ones help? Or putting another bent one on the inside edge of the gutter right above the existing one? Or putting two straight ones (with some gap in between where the corner is) on the inside edge of the gutter, so it lets some water from the middle but it also diverts some water to the side?

Juts wondering if there is a way this kind of work is usually done. I would appreciate your input.
