A good book. Always a great gift!

I agree that books are great. But what about a gift card to a book store and let them choose their own?

Don't ask us. Check with their parents for ideas. Each is different.

I think it’s totally fine to contact parents. I often ask what the kids are into these days since none are local and I don’t see them that much. Your budget is higher than the one I set, btw. I try to keep it to $20, but may go over if I think it’s really on point (the basketball hoop, for example. In a family with five kids, I knew that would be popular). For older teens (high school) I usually do Amazon gift cards. I feel like it’s a bit of a cop out but know what they want is out of my price range or beyond my ability to pinpoint :) I do stop when they graduate from college if they aren’t that close.

Tinker crates are great! They have them for stem and art for all ages
