I've had this Judy Niemeyer pattern for several years and finally decided to make it. It's called Pepperdish. There are applique trees and stars to be added, but I think I'll take a break from it.

I've wanted to try either Judy Niemeyer or Jacqueline deJonge for a long time. Now that I have done one, I don't think I'll do any others, mostly because it seemed to waste a LOT of fabric. I get that there are lots of oddly shaped pieces and you need to have enough fabric to make them fit. But Judy's templates seemed to be excessively large and lots of fabric was cut off.

The colors don't look very true on my monitor. The outer curved strips are the border blue with pale green background, and the inner ring is dark green with pale green background. The center compass is three shades of turquoise. The appliques will use the same blues, reds, and oranges. It's 42" square.
