Guest bedroom/office

I am sprucing up the guest bedroom/office in our home. I have this rug and daybed already. I am making a daybed mattress cover in the pictured fabric. I have a small nightstand, on which I could place a lamp however with the sides of the daybed being a bit tall, I am thinking it would be better to have a wall lamp and an easily moveable side table for any overnight guests that get this room. Thoughts?

I really like your choices. Agree with you about a wall lamp — I think it would be more functional, plus would look good with your decor here.

A wall lamp, if i understand what you mean, is a more permanent solution and. if you don't already have it, requires electrical work.

A wall hung need not mean electrical work if it has a cord that plugs in which can be covered with a cord cover. I have the wall hungs by my bed and find them very useful...they take no room on the end table and have flexibility for being positioned.

I love plug-in swing arm wall lamps. Both my past bedrooms had them with brass tube cord covers. For optimal usage get one with a white shade. In one bedroom I had some very cool looking brass ones that didn’t give off as much light. I love what you have so far!

ETA: Maybe something on wheels like this would be handy ?

You could always change the knobs.

I never think of floor lamps! Thanks for the reminder, though this is a small room and is probably better not using the floor space. I think Ill go with plug in wall light.

I think a swag pendant over the nightstand could work here. Maybe with a pull chain?

I'm not normally a Tiffany lamp fan, but I like this with you color scheme.

It's easy to find a socket with a pull switch and changing out a socket on a lamp is pretty simple if you can't find an existing pull-switch fixture you like.

I use a folding tray table in my guest bedroom for guests to put things on. It's easy to put out of the way when I don't need it, and easy to set up when I do . . .

@cawaps I dont normally like a Tiffany light either, but that one sure is cute! And, I kind of love a swag..... Right now the daybed isnt in the room, because I am shuffling furniture throughout the house(and it is exhausting). I need to get it into place to really assess the situation. I would like a comfy reading chair in the room if it will not be too crowded.
