What's the height difference? I personally like mismatched stuff sometimes so it wouldn't bother me, but I only have one lamp. If I had two matching lamps it might annoy me but it's hard to picture.

My husband is taller than I. We aren’t mismatched. Seriously, yout nightstands seem to be the same color. They’ll be fine.

I like when the bedside tables are different. This sometimes leads to lamps being at different heights as this picture illustrates.

I also like mismatched bedside tables. It adds some interest and then just let the lamps be what they’ll be.

Which one reaches the top of the mattress? Raise the other one to do the same. If neither reach mattress height, you may want to get new legs. Here's a chart to help get a balanced feeling.

Mismatched tables are fine to my eye, but the combined height of the table + lamp should be the same. I also think different end tables work best when they’re obviously unmatched. Yours are fairly similar. Consider adding different lamps that combine on each table to be equally level.

Missmatch the lamps too.

Forego the table lamps on the nightstands, and instead have two swing-arm wall sconces on the wall, mounted at the same height as each other on each side of the bed. They'll give better light too, because you can adjust the swing arm where you want it when you are reading in bed. That also leaves you the nightstands with uninterrupted surface for books, decorative items, or the clean look of nothing at all.

I think your two pieces match too well in style/color to work as those shown by Beth H. do. She shows completely mismatched ones, all very different in many ways and never to be mistaken for an almost matched set. Yours appear to be too much alike to pass as two different, unmatched pieces. I would try to even out the variation between them and do the same with the lamps. Here's one way to do it.
