All counter options could work…it’s your personal preference. Certainly the most contrast/movement would come from one of the grey options. The least frenetic is the top(farthest option. My eye is drawn to that one.

I would grab the the plumbing fixtures your using and lay that next to it or if keeping them just place it next to them see how you feel.

The kitchen in your idea book has gray on the perimeter countertops and white on the island. Are you thinking of doing something similar?

They all match pretty nicely, don't they? I don't think you can go wrong here.

Be sure to check your actual slab once you do decide--there can be variations.

1 for overall softness, 4 for contrast.

I like 1 and 4 ...my taste ! Which one do you like best ...remember less contrast the easier on the eye for a long time to come .

I dislike plastic for a counter always . Have you looked at all the beautiful natural stones , a polished granite is dar close to bullet proof and can handle hot pots and can be used as a backsplash behind a range neither of which can be done with quartz.

I like all of them and any could work really well. Are you planning a backsplash? Would you use the same material or would you want tile. If you are thinking of tile, then consider your tile options with your top choices.

In order, my choices would be: 1,4,3,5,2.

If you are worried about a sterile look then I'd choose a backsplash tile that picks up some colour from the counters and has some contrast to the cupboards - in other words, not a plain white subway with any of those counter choices.

M Riz, I put super hot items on my counter unless the superhot item might suffer thermal shock and break (like a ceramic or cast iron pan). Of course if my counters weren't metal I'd use a trivet.

Love the top one, and the two darker ones. (of the darker, 2 over 4, i think). They all look really nice, though!

Since you plan on a backsplash, I would want a vision of what tile would pair well with the counters.

I too like the top one.

(Most tiles are heatproof too.)
