Test fit the screws all in and make sure they aren't bottoming out (too long). Purchase the length you need otherwise you have to cut and file most screws. Make sure you know whether they are metric vs imperial. 3/4" thick doors need 1" screws, drawers with backing need screws 1/4"-3/8" longer than the thickness.

These knobs will leave a mark and hole when installed.

I have knobs just like that, the spike went into the wood, and they have never moved at all!! Cabinet guy installed them, it was a quick process. Mine are also Top Knob, and he used the screws they came with. ...pretty sure that he used a drill :)

I am using a power drill. The drawer box is 1/2 inch. The drawer face is 3/4 inch. Im using screws that are 1 1/2 inch.

Still nothing works. The spikes don't dig into the drawer face - red oak slab doors from Barker Door. The screws just strip.

I'm so frustrated. I can't find any guidance on this. All info is about placement and measurements which I think I have under control.

Without installing, put the screw into the knob all the way it will go. It should have less than 1-1/4" space in order to draw the knob into the wood. The screws for the doors of course need to be shorter.

Make sure the screws and knobs are both metric or both imperial. Lots of knobs requiring metric screws are now shipping.

Try doing this by hand, switching to a hand screw driver to tighten. A powered screwdriver may be making this harder.
