If they are under contract, have them do a mock up. For the record, if you are doing the siding, that should be done in conjunction with the windows.

I completely agree with WOW. Do the windows and siding togerher, mock ups are quick and easy to do on sight.

I cannot afford to do both projects at once, this was how it was suggested by my contractor. As I said before, they do not have the ability to take the shutters off in the program they use.

Just keep in mind if you want to make the trim wider you will have to cut back your siding. This will add cost . There may be a chance depending on how they do this it might have to to be redone when you do the siding.
