It might be aloe mites or mealies deep in the axils. I know also cold weather can do that but we haven't had cold weather yet.

Don't remove any more leaves until new ones come along to provide food for the plant. Spray it down with Ortho MAX Garden Disease Control or similar treatment for rose bushes. Can do it once a week till you see some progress. Aloe mite damage would look different. Like a cancer tumor growing out of the middle or some thing. Keep it dry. I like to mix a little Sevin liquid with the spray treatment. Might help it but will not harm it.

IF its pot grown? It just might be going too dry. Mine do that in summer if I push the lack of water. In fact,I'm pretty sure now that's the problem with your Aloe.

I've got something similar on an aloe. The pits go all the way through the leaf. I'm not sure what it is either!

I got the same on my Aloe and Agave (all are pot bound) from outside this year due to over watering from the weather. Only thing that saved mine was the Ortho MAX Garden Disease Control.

Good point on being too dry. I would think the owner would know that?
