I know it's new, but maybe some kind of trash or other buildup is in the carb. Just a first guess. I would try a shot of carb cleaner spray in the carb.

If it is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer and see if they can fix it.

Spoke to the dealer, Ace Hardware, as they have an Echo dealer that does their service work. I was told they believe it's some type of coil that controls how the spark plug fires. They say it's not that common, but the coil can heat up and that changes how it operates. So, plan to give that a shot...hopefully it resolves the issue.

Thanks for giving us an update, When it's fixed come back and tell us what was the problem.

If it was purchased new weeks ago, I would take it back to the store I bought it from. They would either fix it or give me a new unit.

If it was some month out of warranty, I would work on it myself. 6 weeks is a completely different story. If you wait, you will be buying another new unit, since most repair place consider small units like that disposal, and most will not try to fix them
