My friend has a Wolf radiant cooktop with the ss frame. It's beautiful, maybe helps protect the glass edge from chipping, keeps the crumbs out. But I was too frugal to pay for a frame & bought a frameless Wolf induction cooktop instead. I do have to dredge out the underside of the edges periodically. Dried cooktop creme accumulates in there, mostly. It spills over the glass edge when I clean the cooktop. I had one bad boil over of thick blueberry jam that made me worry about gunk getting underneath. But so far no ill effects, & I think I cleaned it out adequately.

I've been very happy with the 30 inch Wolf induction top. Steady, reliable, good temp range, easy to use, excellent spacing for pots & pans, good hob sizes.
