Bathroom Lighting, etc.

Some of you will recognize this bathroom. This is my hall/guest bathroom, with a shower.

A while back, you helped me to start the process of updating. I'm planning to replace the (big, honking) medicine cabinet and (awful) lighting over the next few week.

The vanity is 24" wide. I've purchased this medicine cabinet. It's mirrored, 20x26, frameless, and will be surface mounted. I can return it if it's not right, but I like the simplicity and think the dimensions are good.

There's a light in the shower, but otherwise, the vanity fixture is the only light in the bathroom.

I'm thinking that a 3-bulb fixture over the vanity (or maybe 2?) - 15-20" in width is best for a 24" vanity with a 20" medicine cabinet.

Here are a couple that I like. Any thoughts on uplighting vs. downlighting? Anything else? Am I on the right track?
