Miele Little Giant Pedestals

Hi all,

Just started using our new Little Giant washer and dryer. The washer vibrates and moves all over the place. The pedestal stands I have look like they require it to be mounted/screwed into the floor. I can’t do this. Has anybody had issues running the machines without/off the pedestals? Are they stable that way?

Pedestals are NOT required for any Miele washer. They are a convenience item to raise the height of smaller units.

Usually in a commercial environment they would be screwed down to the floor or there would be clips that are screwed to the floor that hold the feet of the pedestal in place. The feet of the washer/dryer are unscrewed and the holes where the feet were located are placed over the pins in the pedestal.

How was yours installed? if it is done correctly and leveled properly it should not bounce all over the place.

if the feet of your washer were removed, locate them as they will need to be reinstalled to properly level the appliances when not using the pedestals.

Both the Little Giant washer and dryer are mounted on top of the 19” pedestals. The feet are still on the washer and dryer and it looks like the back feet are attached to some hooks and top of the pedestals. The problem seems to be the pedestals themselves aren’t leveled out on both machines; nor or they hooked into anything on the floor.

I honestly can’t believe a certified Miele installer would come put them in like this; especially given the price paid for the product. 🤦‍♂️

I have the larger octoplus PW 6080 washer mounted on a pedistal.

The washer i fastened on the pedistal but the pedistal is not secured to the floor. I think i were lucky because my floor is level. I have checked that everything i level though.

It runs beutiful, if the laundry is level in the drum its smooth if not there are some vibrations but it has never moved.

Is the transport bolts removed, what type of floor is it on?

Our Miele set are attached to each other at floor level, leaving an inch between them. The washer might shake and vibrate with some loads, but it cant walk around. ETA --- this is at the bottom of the pedestals.

I called Miele today and they are going to have a ‘pro-tech’ come out and fix the issue. They said based on what was going on how I described the install, that it was done incorrectly. 🤦‍♂️
