The oven has the usual pyrolytic self clean feature. It heats the oven to very high temps to burn the residue off. I’m most impressed with Miele’s attention to protecting the electronics. The cooling fans really do keep the heat in the oven. The expelled air, while still warm is quite cool. The surfaces do not heat up, this includes the cooktop and even the oven door. My previous range would get very hot. You can also set the length of time the cycle runs for.
