Laundry Room Remodeling Storage & Closet

Mudroom or hallway

We are about to start a remodel that involves news cabinets, doors, trim, flooring. I currently have this hallway from the kitchen to the garage door with laundry closet behind awful bifold doors. I am thinking about putting a barn door between the kitchen and this hallway and making it more into a mudroom/laundry area- we would do the floor in more of a mudroom tile in the hallway/laundry closet. Or... do I just replace the bifold doors and leave it as is. I'm concerned about a door closing off an already smallish kitchen.

Agreed, don’t add a door. Are any of the walls removable? Can you show more photos?

Kind of thinking you could remove the closet doors and make a little built in with some hooks and inside the closet could be the mud area. Dont really see the need for another door. I would still tile

What about a pocket door? You wouldn’t have to close it very often, but when you want to hide something, or block the laundry sound a bit, you could. Remove the closet doors, and have cabinets that match the kitchen installed above, and a countertop (removable, maybe) on top of the machines.
