Live wire in front and back yard...

Hi there! I bought a house a couple years back and it's taken me this long to clear out the jungle in the yard. In the process of digging out layer after layer of debris down into the roots, Ive found TWO electrical wires. Out front, it's in what was once (and is slowly becoming again) a garden area and I believe based on the neighborhood that there was once a light fixture here. That wire has been run through a metal pipe, and the end of the actual wire is wrapped very generously in electrical tape so I didn't zap myself when I found it.
The one in the back yard however...once uncovered I found that it had some kind of electrical box it was connected to, I assume like an outlet box? But it's clearly been run over by many lawn mowers and the box itself only vaguely resembles a rectangle anymore so I can't tell what it was. The wires are exposed and definitely live as I zapped myself when I tried to pull up the metal box, thinking it was just garbage not connected to anything. I assume this one was probably either for landscape lighting (there are some cute trees out there) or an actual outlet for extension cords and stuff.
I'd love to do something with these wires, especially the exposed one. Ideally I'd connect an outlet to it so it can be versatility useful, maybe in the spring I can put a water fountain out there, Christmas lights in winter, and lord knows I love me some power tools in the yard.
I just don't know what kind of hardware would best for that kind of application since it's basically at ground level. I'd need to protect it from water and dirt, but still be able to access it easily. I also need to figure out where the electricity is coming from, I have so many switches in the house that are a mystery, and an unlabeled breaker box that I'm slowly figuring out. But I think I can handle that part. Yall have any suggestions for outdoor electrical outlets that would be practical for this, that are meant to be hardwired? Would I need to sink of those boxes like you put on a sprinkler system to keep dirt and water away from it?
