Hi Houzz friends! 5 years later and I still don't know what to do with this odd fireplace hiding behind the Christmas decorations. It's odd... I've never seen a 2 sided fireplace. Do we close the one side? Would that look strange ending like that? I'm used to seeing a fireplace in the middle of the room... Also, we have to put an insert in there. We were thinking electric. We live in Florida, so it's more for a cozy look and feel... not necessarily for the heat. Do you have any favorite brands?
Our house is casual. It's a combination of farm style with a little beach.
