Oxalis has five petals and the leaflets are heart shaped. This plant has neither feature and is very clearly in Fabaceae but the photo is so blurry the flowers can’t be seen. My guess with no further evidence would be a stunted Melilotus officinalis. But I have no idea what might appear in Texas.

Possibly one of the Sennas: Flowering (S.corymbosa), Lindheimer's (S. lindheimeriana), ....?

It reminds me of a peanut.

Definitely not Lotus corniculatus. Leaves and flowers are both different. Peanut flowers are borne singly and are larger.

Better pictures would be a great help.

There are a lot of warm climate herbaceous annual and perennial legumes. It is saying Crotalaria - Baptisia to me.

There are no Baptisia or Crotalaria species with dentate leaves and flowers like this. Melilotus officinalis

All his pictures are so blurry I guess I was seeing the flower wrong. I was seeing a single large pea flower and that is not what it is.
