Kitchens Design Dilemma The Old House

I recently purchased a home which is a section of a 17th Century château in France. I have a rental unit which is getting the lionshare of my budget for now. My kitchen on the third floor needs to be lived in as close to as is for now. I’ve removed the flat (garage storage) cabinet fronts which were under the sink and want to attach a curtain but I’m not sure about the best method since this is cheap particle board and I want it to last for at least a couple of years.

Just some screw in brackets if you predrill and add a little glue in the hole before mounting that will help keep it more secure.

Cafe rod or use velcro would be my first two options.

A rod mounted on the bar across the top and curtains with rings to make them easy to open and cloase and make sure the fabric is really washable. Honestly I would have left the doors and changed the lighting .

The cheap overhead light fixture is gone as well as the stove and overhead vent.
