aluminum pie tins ... pop the rolls in the tins [unbaked] and freeze them. tins 'usually ' fit in the gallon zip bags for freezing.

But, can I bake them in the pans?

I haven't tried with rolls (lots of other things) but it should work fine for the baking. Reheating is easier, because there's nothing like baking in your own oven in your own pans, For warming up, no problem at all unless you think they're meant only for show and not oven safe or something (which I can't imagine but I was getting some kitchen things for a child learning to cook, and they were labelled BPA free, but had a contains lead warning!).

The only issue I can see is potential for sticking. Maybe a few pinches of flour in the pan, or a little spritz of oil. A bigger spritz of oil if you do the initial bake in them, especially if they're not completely smooth.

I have baked cinnamon rolls in those disposable foil pans and they don't bake nearly as well as my "real" pans. if youy are taking them to your son, I would use a real pan.....and leave the rolls and bring your pan home.

Or nip to the shops and buy a good pan that you can leave at your son's place as an extra present.
