Don't worry about it. My roses are on their own leaf loss schedule, and yes, some are almost semi evergreen. This would be especially true in your milder climate. I'd have to go out and look, and it's too cold right now, but Munstead Wood (two of them), and Love Song (both of them) are hanging on to their leaves. There are others. Diane

Same here. In my garden some roses drop their leaves and others are looking better and happier than ever, even after 26 F degree nights and being smothered by 8 inches of snow for a few . Bathsheba in particular is known for keeping healthy looking leaves through winter.

I'm in a warmer zone (9b) than you are, but I started pruning yesterday (and i prune fairly hard). Despite the advice to remove all leaves when pruning, I leave on any lower leaves that are perfectly healthy. Some of mine have lost a lot of leaves, some not so much. Anything diseased gets removed. Gotta remember that the leaves are what provides the energy for the rose.

We've had a warm dry fall with some freezing but not prolonged frozen. Up till a few days ago everything had leaves. I was amazed. We've had some snow in the last few days so I expect they will be dropping them now.
