The area is quite big and I could never find a table that’s tall and wide enough to fit that space perfectly. I has mentioned this issue in my post already. I have moved it around a bit. My family didn’t appreciate this change at all! Lol.. anyhow I will keep looking around for things that can go well here

That’s much better! It works for now! You can skoot the table even more toward that wall electrical outlet. You can take your time to find the right table. It’s out there. Add some art work -- one beautiful print — to the wall right of the table that picks up color from the adjacent rooms.

Thanks. I am not a fan of artworks that are bulk made at home decor stores . I try to add personal touches to the decor that I have . The “ decors “all have a story with it. I can’t afford a local artist made art for now.

You don’t have to settle for bulk made art or places like Home Goods. Look around on Etsy or try thrift, consignment or second-hand collectibles stores. Some of favorite pieces of art I’ve found at thrift stores. The fun is in the hunt for it!

Here’s what @Jilly posted earlier as a general size guide, or you could do something in the range of 18“ wide by 24-30” long. You can put blue tape on the wall in different measurements to figure out size. Good luck!

Doesn't matter about the ceiling, it is the curve of the wall. Your table needs to nestle into the curve of the wall. I don't mean it has to fit tightly against the curve, just it needs to be centered in front of that curve. So it needs to be moved a little toward the right as you look at the photo. By the way Iike your table and plant!

Yes. You could even go further to the right into the curved wall. No one is looking at your table placement in relation to the very high ceiling there. Don’t be so afraid.

The tables that weee more wider were more like dining tables. Couldn’t find a bigger one. I have been looking for a long time now and that’s why I Settled with a bench

you could prob find a marble remnant, have it cut a bit larger than the top, and secure it to that existing table. if you go by a fabricators shop he prob has those small pieces that go in the trash. for $50 he'll prob cut it for you. people on craigslist sell remnants too. Or, look for older, marble topped vintage tables. maybe one you may have to paint? you'll have to shop around and try and find things if you're on a budget.

You can use masking tape to see what a good sz would be. It’s also helpful in getting the proper placement before putting holes in your wall. Try taping off a 2’ x 3’ rectangle and post a photo.

Maybe one of those decorator tables with a table cloth? They are fairly inexpensive and you may even be able to find a used on. A 30" could work good there.

Honestly, do you really need a table there? If not, maybe just a beautiful large, tall plant would be nice. Just a thought. I would not keep the wall art :-). It’s not needed.

I found a larger table to this space . In the photo I think it’s still looking slightly smaller but it’s about 30” high and 36” diameter . The color is lighter than the staircase rails . How does this look in this space ?

Hard to tell from the photo but I don't think it needs to actually be tucked into the curve. I think more centered on the wall, and the roundness just accentuates the curve.

What will you put on top? I liked the plants you had on the small table before. Add one on top and another just to the right of it.

Since it's similar color to your floors, look for a small hide rug or other irregular shaped rug. Heck, you could even cut a shape out of a rug off FB marketplace or CL.

@justcallmepool Thank You for your time. I have a large vase, and sculpture and a typewriter that I may keep on it, not sure yet. I havent thought about rug, but will definitely try and see how it comes out.

I like it. What is the X looking thing behind the typewriter (which is the smallest typewriter I've ever seen btw LOL)? I think only 3 things on the table. Move the vase more in the center of the back half (to the left some), put the books under the typewriter where it is now, then the little genie pot in the nook near it's current location. Like a triangle of items sort of. The X thing isn't working imo.

Agree the vase blends into the wall a bit too much. If you don't have another one to try you could do a little dry brushing of a brown/tan paint to age it a bit.

Do you have a scarf or a small table topper you could put on the table top, under the items? Bonus if it has some of the flower color in it.

@justcallmepool , sure I can try rearranging them .I dont have a scarf or table topper now. The current books are small to keep under the table , correct? I can look for larger books in my shelf though.

yes find some larger books to put the typewrite on. I think that will be perfect.

I don’t think it has to be too tall, just because of the high ceilings … plus you don’t want it to overwhelm the table. Any ambient light there will be welcoming and cozy. I’d just find one you really love.

You could could even set it on a stack of books, if you wanted.

I’d go with a wider lamp, rather than tall. Art or a mirror would be pretty behind it, too.

My preference would be no rug under the table, since it’s not a larger, open area, but rather tucked away.

I like it. now just bring in a small accent rug for under the table.

I looked at some round rugs, that curve is about 44 inches only and the rugs were either above that or just the size of the table. The hide rug is not something my family would like even if its faux.

you can find something in round shape that's similar thickness but not hair. maybe cotton or nylon?

I think a rug would look odd here. It’s more of an out-of-the-way nook, not a very open space. And one coming out past the opening would look even more odd to me.

I see what you mean about the wood tones … I’d go ahead and decorate the table, maybe add art, as that will be the focus (the eye will be drawn up, not down). Especially if you get a lamp — it will change the lighting and tones there when on.

I really like what you've done here. even the vase. but try cutting the stems a few inches. they look a tad tall for that size vase

similar size (height) vase w/slightly shorter leaves. you don't have to go this short, but I'd take off at least 6"
