Several years ago people hid their TVs now they are huge and are hard to hide. There are frame TVs that look like art when not in use or like in our case we have a media room since I hate TV in my main living space

This looks like a built-in to me. See if there is a cabinet-maker local to you who could make you something custom to fit your space and TV. It's may not be as expensive as you might think. They might have standard pieces that they could assemble into something that would work. The issue lately is there is a very long lead time on this type of thing. If you don't have that resource near you, look on Facebook Marketplace, eBay and Craigslist for people selling used ones. As Patricia says, they're not as popular now as they used to be.

No, not built in -- they were common freestanding pieces in the 90s. As Patricia says, none were designed for TVs of the modern size, although you might be able to rig up doors in the center of a large built-in set of shelves, to cover/disguise the TV when not in use. But there's no shame in having a TV! :)

As was said, tv's are even bigger, but an expert might be able to install a safe pull-out shelf.

We have had a similar cabinet (nicer style imho) by Ethan Allen since the 90’s. By removing the doors, it now houses a 42” flatscreen with a few millimeters to spare. We can still pull out the shelf and tilt it. It’s such a nice piece of furniture that I haven’t wanted to change to hanging the TV on the wall.

"Entertainment" retailers offer lots of similar cabinetry. Those vendors specialize in TV's and sound systems. They also usually have good contacts with local cabinet makers who can design / build the case goods to hold a "lift system", or house an articulated arm for a wall-mount.
