Thanks for the info, Mary! We are running it across the windows. Also worried about the feel underfoot. Adura Max is supposed to be nicer underfoot but we wanted the stronger floor that is less likely to dent. I hope you end up loving it. I can’t see your photos for some reason :(

Melissa I just sent pics, I too have a hard time choosing - I really wanted white oak engineered floors but high rise buildings are not great places to install these. The longer the floor is down, the more I like it but it of course is not white oak LOL. I would for sure put it in a basement or if I had pets and kids I would put it down, the stuff is bullet proof - have been dragging furniture all over it (because it will not slide) and nary a mark. My furniture is ugly so this adds to my angst - will eventually get all new. Also my walls are kind of greige - so if it is paired with white walls the floor color may reflect more warm and less gray.

Top pic - natural light - looks a little waxy and washed out. Bottom pics are with lights on - I like the look much better. Included my mismatched red oak furniture so you can see the difference in the colors. Tends to run gray despite having a warm brown tone in sample. Fair number of knot holes (not my favorite) but might look too fake without them. Mannington Adura Max Swiss Oak Truffle color.

Mary, thanks for sharing pics. I actually think the floor looks beautiful. Now I'm really confused though because I was ready to cancel this floor and go a different direction. Gah! We do have lots of orangey oak trim and cabinets and tan walls. I actually like the floors with your oak!

We did look at Nougat. It was a little too yellow next to our cabinets. I'm loving the Truffle in your place!

I like how it looks but it feels kind of weird to walk on.

The swiss oak truffle looks great! We wanted to go with that color but it was so backordered that we had to switch brands/color.

Hi Mary, do you find the truffle looks pink? i see a pink undertone with jt jn our house and its freaking me out

Mine actually looks greyish in natural light but pink with LED lights. I actually prefer the pinker tone. I am slowly getting used to it. I like mine, I don’t love it. Wears like iron though. Did your transition strips match? The square cut transitions matched but curved ones did not.

Mary, we ended up doing Casabella Uptown King Street and we love it! Ours also looks different in different light. Warmer brown in kitchen picking up cabinet tones. Cooler gold/yellow in north-facing front rooms.

@Mary Kuffner Hi! I know this thread is from a while back, but I'm considering installing Adura Max in my house on top of my hardwoods (destroyed by our golden retriever). I have it narrowed down to Sonoma Cork and Swiss Oak Truffle. How are you liking your floors these days? Thank you so much for the photos!!! This is the most helpful info I've found online yet!

Here are my thoughts

• Durability: Floors are incredibly waterproof, scratchproof, and iron-wearing.
• Aesthetics: The difference in knot holes between Swiss Oak Truffle and Sonoma cork could impact the overall visual effect of the space. Knot holes can lend a rustic, natural look, while fewer knots might create a cleaner, more modern appearance.
• Functionality: The floors are Non-slip properties which is great for safety, however, the resistance to sliding furniture could be a downside for those who like to rearrange their space often. This is with felt pads installed.
• Finish: The floors have a low-gloss or matte finish which tends to hide small imperfections. It does show damp footprints sometimes but not near as bad as my hardwood floors did.

Hope this helps - overall I love them! If you want to swing by and look at them that would be fine.

Thank you so much, Mary! I wish! I live in Columbus, Ohio. Not sure where you are. I am looking at pictures again and it looks like the Sonoma Cork has less knot holes...do you agree? My daughter doesn't love the knot holes, but I am more okay with them I think. My dark brown hardwoods show everything and are high gloss and are also 13 years old - time for a change! Thank you again!

I thought the sonoma looked like it had less knot holes also but honestly when I shopped for my floors the knot holes did not really show in the pics If you can find a box of it, ask them to open it and lay it out. There are usually 8 different boards in each box - that will show you how many knots you are going to see. I would have preferred less but oh well - still like it. I am in Chicago. Post pics once you get it laid down!

Thanks, Mary! I will ask my sales guy about options! I don't think they have any in store, so we'd have to order it I believe. But I'm going to see if he can get me some actual planks vs the square boards. Love Chicago! My FIL lives downtown. And, will do! I am over our torn up wood! :)

@Mary Kuffner Here are the 3 samples in my house. Sonoma Cork, Swiss Oak Almond, and Swiss Oak Truffle. I heard that if you lay a white blanket down next to the samples it helps take away distracting colors from your existing flooring/rugs.

All three of those look great in front of your fireplace! I forgot to mention that my floor dented under my couch legs which are on the skinny side. Strangely only in the front. My dining room chairs nor side chairs left dents. Might want to put something under your couch legs if the are skinny. I thin any of those 3 choices would look awesome. Have a happy holiday.

Hi! I have Mannington Swiss Oak in nougat. I got the spc core, so NOT the max. I wish I would have bought the max because I have a concrete slab foundation and these floors are really, really hard. Feels worse underfoot than tile for some readon. My senior dog also has a hard time walking on them because they make her slide (worse than our old apartments with cheap LVP). I like these fine, but I’m not sure I would buy them again.

They are vey non slip compared to wood floors your pooch should be fine.

Hello! I am having Adura Max Swiss Oak Truffle installed in my house but I first want to paint my walls white. I don't know if this flooring has warm or cool undertones? I don't want my white paint to look off! Then I thought maybe I should do a light grey? Has anyone found it is better with a certain color/tone than others?

I think it has warmer color tones myself.
