Laticrete has always had excellent technical support (although we have a local rep). I'd try calling:

I have talked to them and they are confident that it would work for my project I just can't seem to find a lot of real-world people using it or having experience with it. It is my understanding that Laticrete is one of the best product manufacturers. They said it can be used under pool plaster.

Laticrete does have very good products. If you are to use this or any of their products, you must follow the directions explicitly.

We use Basecrete Products from Florida. I have had great success with it. Phenomenal product and customer/dealer support. We use for both tile prep and also plaster prep.

I'm a huge fan of reading the directions as long as I can get a good set of them. I can't find Basecrete other than online and they seem overpriced. This Hydro Ban Cementitious seems perfect as far as specifications, I just don't hear anyone using it.

I know this is way late. But I thought I would say that i use Hydroban almost daily as a subcontractor for pool buiiders. Hydroban is great for tile apllocations, especially for vessels that are raised(spa’s etc…) There are better products out there for wateeoroofing entire pool shells though
