Is there a reason you need plants? Impatiens capensis reseeds so easily here that it would cheaper and a lot easier to seed them.

I have tried growing them from seeds and for various reasons I have not had any luck. I would like to purchase a couple plants so maybe they would reseed.

Did you start them inside or direct sow outside?

I have tried them inside, direct sowed, put them in the fridge for 60 days, took them out of the fridge for a few months and then cold temps again. I have tried a few different ways. I don't know if my seeds are not viable or what. I have bought some from a couple different companies

I've never had luck with some of the non-native jewelweed seeds, and my methods sound a lot like what you've gone through! I don't think the seed retains viability if stored dry. If you're looking for the native type, maybe you can find a local population where you can collect a few seeds in late summer? They should be common enough. Here they seed all over after sneaking in from the woods. If you get desperate I can send you some fresh seed next fall.

Cindip63 - i don't know where you are but if you are anywhere near wake county, i'm in garner and would be happy to share some seedling when they come up. You can transplant them when they are small. They'll be coming up and ready to transplant may-ish.
