They do look pretty bad......'Sunshine Blue' should be fully evergreen in your climate.

It is unlikely that you will see much new growth in January......that is more of an early spring thing (March?). And I would wait to see how that develops before cutting back or tossing/replacing the plants.

I would also keep them to their own container and not mix with other plants. Ericaceous plants - and blueberries specifically - have rather specialized needs that other plants do not.

id probably bare root them.. and look at the roots .. and see what future potential you might see ... you should be able to tell a root system that has stored enough energy for next season ... as compared to one that looks sickly and shriveled... etc ..

take pix and ask here if you wish ... just quickly repot them while you wait for an answer here ....

presuming you decided you have something to work with.. get some proper new media.. adjust it for the requisite pH ... and replant .. and properly repot them ...

even if you decide to go with new plants.. i would probably go with new media... if these failed... odds are .. part or most of the problem was the media ...

and btw ... if you decide to replace.. just shove these in the ground somewhere .. and see what happens .. you never know ...
